There are many of us who are pro-life, pro family and pro-2nd Amendment, who are NOT pro-Hill

For Hilly boy, this was a less than impressive first session. Admittedly, this is the most coherent language I have ever heard from Hilly boy. Some of the things he attempted to get done are things I have no problem with. Nonetheless, he provided plenty of fuel for me in many of his responses in this article.

First of all, the voters got what they asked for. Hilly boy repeatedly mentions how his inexperience has had to be overcome. We are the one who lose while he learns how the government works. “Hill said his first year in office was a lesson in learning how Capitol Hill works... One of the big things I learned is that it's a process.”

Hilly boy clearly stands against many elements of public education, though he said, “We need to shore up K through 12 (education)."

"In Washington County alone, we need two more schools.” I am surprised Hilly boy admits that there is a school building problem in the county since he tried to go over the county’s head by playing to Johnson City.

"To get feedback on his first year in office, Hill said he is planning a series of 'Town Hall-style' public meetings on June 16 in Jonesborough, June 17 in Telford and June 18 in Johnson City." I am amazed he actually announced this ahead of time.

And finally, in response to this blog, Hilly boy uses his quintessential lack of clarity as he claims he does not stand for public school education.

“If special interests are being pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-home schooling and pro-constituent services, that's the only thing I'm really interested in."

Which one of those four is “the only thing” he is “really interested in?”

My guess is pro-home schooling, since he once slipped up on the radio by mentioning how much he struggled in public school before he started getting home-schooled. This was in the middle of a rant in which he made fun of Washington County residents who attended public schools. Now he is helping to determine policies that affect public schools and I don’t think anyone should be surprised when public schools get shafted.

I must say that I am pleased that this blog made it into the JC Press two days in a row (Sunday & Monday). Whether he likes it or not, there are many of us who are pro-life, pro family and pro-Second Amendment who are NOT pro-Hill. I don't think he quite gets that.

I just want Hilly boy to be defeated in the next Republican primary. And I am not the only one who feels this way.

Comments:
I also seem to recall that early on during his campign, Hill firmly (and often) stated that he --- unlike Bob Patton --- would not collaborate with Democrats within the Tennessee General Assembly to achieve his legislative goals. Now just look at him --- juust another demonstration thatt Matthew Hill is a weak-kneed, flip-flopping weasel (but I already knew this)....

And my favorite Rep. Hilly-boy quote from the Johnson City Press:

“If special interests are being pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-home schooling and pro-constituent services, that's the only thing I'm really interested in."

Whatta dumb-ass..."special interests" in your case, Mr. Hill are you financial dependency upon the Gregory pharmaceutcal money, both in terms of direct and indirect monetary contributions to your 2004 campaign and also to your panhandling radio roost at the Gregory-Leitner Pharmaceutical headquarters in Bristol...

"June 16 in Jonesborough, June 17 in Telford and June 18 in Johnson City", stop squawking and start talking, here is your chance to create real dialog instead of an online crying blog. See if he'll really listen.-killerb's

This hate you have for Rep. Hill....to the dark side it leads....

I am going to one or all of the town hall meetings, and I think everyone should go. But my beef with him, among other things, is how deep he is in the Gregory's pockets. I doubt that at the meetings he will announce that he has decided to take no more of their money. I'll still go. I really want him to explain what he will do to help the school building problems in the county since he is so anti-public school eductation.

The dark side is where Hill and his cronies live, but your comment is funny.

Hmmm....you do know that if you are liberal, progressive, or a democrat and you should happen to disagree politically with Rep.Matthew Gregory-Hill (or his brother, Tweedle Dummer) is that he will call you a "Communist"...

And once doing his radio show, Rep Gregory-Hill once said that "all Libertarians were pedophiles"...of course someone later had to explain to Rep. Gregory-Hill just what is meant by "pedophile"...

I HAVE KNOWN HILL FOR A GOOD WHILE (PERSONALLY) A LITTLE HISTORY. DID YOU KNOW THAT HE IS THE PRIME DEFINITION OF A HISTORICAL CARPET BAGGER? HE RAN FOR ELECTION IN SULLIVAN COUNTY AND COULD NOT EVEN GET HIS NAME ON THE BALLOT. AFTER MARRYING HE AND HIS FATHER RESEARCHED THE TRI-CITIES AREA FOR THE WEAKES INCUMBENT OPPONENT, AND FOUND HIM IN BOB PATTON. HE THEN MOVED TO JONESBOROUGH AND HAD DADDY SET HIM UP IN A SMALL BUSINESS SO HE COULD TOUT HOW HE WAS "ONE OF US" AND HAD A SPECIAL INTEREST IN THE COMMUNITY. HIS ONLY INTEREST WAS GETTING INTO OFFICE AND HE DID NOT CARE WHERE IT WAS, OR WHAT DISTRICT IT WAS IN. I AM A STAUNG CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN, VETERAN, AND PRO-LIFE, PRO-GUN, ETC... BUT I CANNOT IN GOOD CONCIENSE EVER VOTE FOR MATTHEW HILL AGAIN.

I guess Hilly boy's home school, which was not in Washington County, didn't cover vocabulary.

A carptet bagger is exactly what Hilly boy is. He is not from the 7th District and everything about him is run by the Gregory machine. They couldn't control Patton so they moved this mindless thug over 6 months before the election, playing on the fact that Patton's income tax vote was political suicide in Tenn. Then they got the Tenn. Right to Life to spread lies, not because Patton was pro-choice, but because he wasn't militant enough in his pro-life support.

Hillary Clinton certainly taught young Matthew Gregory-Hill a lesson in carpet bagging...

I often wonder what happened to the civics lesson about elective public service, i.e. first get eleceted and serve in a local office for a few years, then run for and get elected into a state office...whatta hypocrite!

Oh well, I suppose that it is all too easy for the weak-minded among us to lock their lips around those sagging Gregory money teats..

I certainly hope the vocabulary comment after the posting describing Hill as a carpet bagger was not meant to be a slam on whoever posted it. Let us remember, we all here have a common goal, that is to see the removal/defeat of Hill in the next election. If we attack one another this cannot happen.

I am pretty sure that comment was agreeing with the post. Good point though.

...and about Rep. Gregory-Hill's "Northeast Tennessee Tax Fighting" award that he is so proud to post within his web bios --- Hill actually received this award from his self-described Northeast Tennessee libertarian "pedophiles" .
